Topolobampo & Chepe

The Chepe train Holland America uses for it’s Copper Canyon tour from Topolobampo is very comfortable and adequate. The PA system sometimes left something to be desired, and the local guides talked way too much. We had box lunches for breakfast and supper, and a great midday meal at the hotel on the rim of the Copper Canyon. The train has a bar car and a dining car which was mostly used by myself and the other ship’s crew who were on board the trip. 12 hours with key members of the crew and you learn a lot: who’s sleeping with who . . . and all the crew gossip.
